The annual Inland Northwest Catholic Men’s Retreat starts Friday, October 20th, just 20 minutes from downtown Coeur d’Alene on the west shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Come all weekend or just on Saturday.
Sacred Heart Radio says, “It’s the perfect event to warm your soul and open your heart as you enjoy the bite of autumn in the Idaho Panhandle with relaxing forests and lake views.” On the retreat website, long-time participant Max Nuxoll writes, “I have discovered a change in environment takes me away from the daily grind and allows me to take time to just focus on my spiritual life. I am able to talk to other men, open my ears and heart to God speaking to me, and spend quiet time in Adoration.”
EWTN host and renowned G.K. Chesterton expert, Dale Alquist joins Spokane Diocese Father Jeff Lewis, and Sacred Heart Radio host and speaker Dr. Tom Curran, to lead you through this faith-filled weekend. Experience practical discussions on Reconciliation, spiritual warfare, healing, and finding peace with God. There will be Masses, Confession, Adoration and fellowship. There may even be a campfire!

A meditation room will be available in the Meeting Center (the Chapel) and there are abundant hiking trails that are ideal for private meditation. Eucharist will be celebrated on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and there will be individual Reconciliation available for everyone, with many Priests available on Friday afternoon.
Retreat presenter Dale Ahlquist is president of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton, creator and host of the EWTN series “G.K. Chesterton: The Apostle of Common Sense,” and publisher of Gilbert Magazine. He is a Senior Fellow of the Chesterton Library in London, and has been called, according to the retreat website, “probably the greatest living authority on the life and work of G.K. Chesterton.”
Father Jeff Lewis of the Diocese of Spokane was born and raised in north Spokane and entered Bishop White Seminary in January 2006. He studied theology at Catholic University of America, graduating in 2011. He was ordained in 2011, serving first at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, then as pastor of three rural parishes in southern Stevens County, then as pastor of St. Peter’s on the South Hill and now as pastor at St. Mary in Spokane Valley.
Dr. Curran has given over 2,000 presentations to more than 350,000 people in 35 states and 6 countries. He specializes in many topics, including the Sacraments, marriage and family, evangelization, and the Holy Spirit. For over 15 years Dr. Curran has been the host of a Catholic weekday radio show and podcast that airs on more than 10 stations and reaches tens of thousands of Catholics online. Dr. Curran is the author of five books including The Mass: Four Encounters with Jesus That Will Change Your Life, which was listed on the Top 10 Catholic Bestseller List.
Lodging, beautiful accommodation and great food are included in the registration costs. This annual men’s retreat at Camp Lutherhaven is held every October and is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Councils and parishes of the Inland Northwest. The retreat is planned, organized, and run by a volunteer group of men from Coeur d' Alene, Spokane, and the surrounding areas.
