For 40 years, Saint Alphonsus Health System has helped fight cancer and build community in the Treasure Valley by celebrating the Advent and Christmas seasons with the annual Festival of Trees.
Catholic schools and parishes are among the institutions that regularly sponsor Christmas trees and decorate them to be showcased and auctioned during a live event. Proceeds enhance the oncology services offered by the St. Alphonsus Cancer Institute.
St. Mark’s, Sacred Heart, St. Ignatius, St. Paul’s, St. Mary’s, St. Joseph’s and Bishop Kelly were among the Catholic schools donating trees this year.
Each tree was decorated with a festive theme, such as “Silent Night,” “Denim and Diamonds,” “Heart of a Lion,” “Polar-Pop Holiday: Coca-Cola Christmas” and
“Christmas in Old Hollywood.”
